Tommy Hilfiger Announces Landmark Partnership With F1 Academy

Tommy Hilfiger announces the sponsorship of Spanish driver Nerea Martí, a strong talent, and a historic cooperation with F1 Academy, a series created to support and develop future female drivers.

Leveraging its worldwide platform to inspire future female drivers and transform the sport, Tommy Hilfiger is building on a tradition of creative relationships in the Formula 1 world. Bringing attention to F1 Academy, the collaboration is motivated by a common goal of supporting courageous female drivers and assisting in their advancement to the highest echelons of competition.

"I am excited by Tommy Hilfiger’s approach for this season and it's amazing to wear their colors as we push the limits in every race. By backing F1 Academy he is standing behind female drivers and helping us break boundaries. Beyond the track, I’m looking forward to activations and events that will help me grow both professionally and personally," Nerea Martí mentioned.

Tommy Hilfiger added that he is a lifelong fan of motorsport and its evolution is exciting.

"The world of racing is developing at an incredible pace and the F1 Academy is at the forefront of this movement. I look forward to working with Managing Director Susie Wolff, leading driver Nerea Martí and the entire F1 Academy team as they break barriers in a traditionally male-dominated sport," Hilfiger added.

Tommy Hilfiger has been working with Formula 1 teams since the 1990s, and one of the fifteen liveries created for the 2024 season is a continuation of his heritage. From February 20th to 23rd, Nerea Martí will make its race suit and vehicle debut under the Tommy Hilfiger brand during pre-season testing in Saudi Arabia. Tommy Hilfiger will also create and provide the staff uniform for the F1 Academy.

In Formula 1, Tommy Hilfiger is at the forefront of creating innovative ads and activations. Previously, fashion presentations inspired by the track have been held, and legendary athlete Lewis Hamilton has collaborated on collection design. As a partner of the eagerly awaited Apple Original Films Formula 1 Feature, which stars Brad Pitt and Tommy Hilfiger Menswear Ambassador Damson Idris, the brand is eroding this tradition.
